I'm Joe Lerro, and I help men turn confusion into conviction

For nearly 20 years, I battled stress and self-doubt without the tools to manage my own mind or the framework for understanding who I was and what I stood for. I lacked a clear sense of who I was supposed to become. It felt like life was happening to me rather than through me.

It wasn't until I discovered Stoic philosophy and the power of intentional living that everything began to shift. I learned that strength is forged by facing difficulties head on.

I founded Hero's Mind Academy because too many men are carrying the weight of that same confusion alone. Through courses, journals, and guided practices, we give you a proven framework for building emotional resilience, leading with intention, and becoming the man you're capable of being before another decade slips by.

The 6 Week Hero's Journey

Solid Ground is a 6-week program built for men who are ready to stop reacting and start leading themselves.

Each week explores a new Stoic-inspired theme, like The Power of Awareness, Breaking the Cycle of Negative Thought, and Stop Feeding the Noise, through short daily videos, guided meditations, and journal prompts designed to cut through the noise of daily life. The lessons are direct and practical, built around real challenges, not theory.


Every day builds on the last. By the end of each week you won't just understand the concept, you'll have practiced it, reflected on it, and started to make it part of how you operate. By the end of six weeks, you'll have a foundation that doesn't shift when life gets hard

Journal Your Way to Control

Your thoughts shape your life, and this journal helps you take control of both. Through focused reflection and small, consistent action, these short prompts will train you to ask yourself better questions, notice your patterns, and choose your responses on purpose. How is this different from therapy or other self-help programs?

Solid Ground isn't therapy, and it's not another motivation course that leaves you fired up for a week and then forgotten. It's a structured, practice-based program rooted in one of the most battle-tested frameworks for navigating adversity ever developed. Rather than helping you process the past, it gives you a system for how you think, respond, and operate going forward. Every week builds on the last, so by the end you don't just have new ideas, you have new habits.


I'm busy. How much time does this actually take?

The daily lessons are short by design, because consistency matters more than duration. A few minutes of video, a brief reflection, and a journal prompt. You can fit it into a commute, a lunch break, or the first ten minutes of your morning. The structure does the heavy lifting; you just have to show up.


The duration of a coaching engagement can vary based on individual goals and needs. Some clients find value in a few sessions focused on specific issues or challenges, while others may engage in longer-term coaching to achieve more substantial personal or professional transformations. Typically, a coaching relationship may last anywhere from a few months to a year or longer. It's essential to discuss your objectives and expectations with your coach to determine the best timeline for your coaching journey.

What can I realistically expect after 6 weeks?


You won't be a different person, but you'll operate differently. Most men who go through Solid Ground come out the other side with a clearer sense of what they stand for, a more reliable internal compass, and better instincts for how they respond when life gets hard. The work is real, the results are real, and they're built by you.
